Doctors & Staff

Your hospital director is Dr. Sherilynn Burkman.  Originally from Colorado and British Columbia, Dr. Burkman earned her DVM degree in 2003 from Colorado State University.  She completed the CSU Veterinary Acupuncture Course concurrently, and then practiced in Tokyo, Japan for a short time as part of an exchange program.  Dr. Burkman practiced at a busy small animal hospital in Cottonwood, Arizona prior to purchasing Community Animal Hospital from Dr. Peggy Harrer in 2007.  Dr. Burkman's special interests include internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, ophthalmology, alternative medicine, and emergency medicine.
